Thank you Medhi, you are one of few journalists that talk about Assange. Our government wants him to rot in prison because he exposed their lies. Doesn’t sound much like a Free Press.

I always admire Mehdi’s skill of expression but disagree on this one. I hope Julian is sealed away in Florence supermax.

This is one of a handful of issues that you and I agree on. I wish Julian Assange would extradite himself to stand trial on condition it not be held in DC. It would be a huge test of 1st amendment rights. Same with Ed Snowden.

Any trial would be in the Espionage court though. And there is no public interest defence to the Espionage act.

Mehdi, I don't see Assange as a journalist. He and his organisation are spies and thieves basically. He encourage people to break oath, and to steal classified documents to enhance his orgs credibility. 1/2
