My husband is an old time US journalist (DesMoines register and St Louis Post Despatch). He's gutted at the lack of solidarity among the White House journalists and thinks in his era they'd have walked out en masse as a mark of disgust.

Hi Mehdi. I agree 100%. Unfortunately they have no incentives to change. Even after Trump and 2 years of total failure on their part, they still don’t change. What would make them change?

The media corporation has its incentives- profit. But individual journo’s who stay at these org’s knowing that’s the case... we need to be calling them out too on their personal and professional integrity.

Have one press conference where everyone in the room agrees on the most important question, have someone ask it, then everyone follows up on it until it gets answered. Then do it the next time.

Also, with a 24 hour new cycle why does each show go over the same 5-6 topics. The amount of important domestic and international stories that go uncovered is astonishing and criminal.
