How/why is that a joke? All of us devs have had to actually do 90 hour weeks because of poor planning or poor circumstances. I'm not following the logic that that statement should've been expected to be funny.

It was bad phrasing. Our producer meant to say that we're going to work hard to finish the game.

This feels like one of those, "We just got a shitstorm of bad press! Quick, use the 'It was a joke!' defense!" posts. If it truly was a joke it was in poor taste and very tone-deaf given how badly this industry still struggles for a proper work-life balance for all developers.

it truly was one, it got lost in translation. we'll address this issue in a statement. No one is forced to work over 40 hours, no one tells me when to arrive at work, and the atmosphere is great.

If you have a seizure, you might want to stop. That's no joke

You also brag in Hungarian saying you turn night into day. This smells and you have to change your ways. It's a sign of poor management. Can't be everyone *that* passionate or have no other commitments.

It is true we are passionate about game development. It is also true that no one is/was ever forced to work overtime.
