NEW: SFDA @chesaboudin just announced charges against Troy McAlister, the parolee accused of fatally hitting two pedestrians on NYE in SF.
Charges include vehicular manslaughter while intox, felony possession of a firearm, felony leaving the scene of a collision, many others.

Press release says “...a prior strike”. So that means only one of the four prior strikes is being alleged. Ensuring former client won’t see as much jail time as he should. Even that is a bow to public pressure. He ran on never charging prior strikes.
