The backup, though, does require calling the party to obtain that early vote data and do the calculations manually. The party is purchasing tablets though that can be used on caucus night should people not be able to use the app on their own phones for whatever reason.

Last night the party declined to comment about the “technology services” it paid for from Shadow. BUT, in practical terms, it cannot be an identical app to the one used in Iowa, in that the processes are different. It could be similar, but not exactly the same.
