A queer black trans women Tete Gulley, was found hanging from a tree in Portland, Oregon on May 27. Police are will not investigate due to “lack of public interest” and have ruled her death as a suicide. We want justice and we want answers!

Studies on asphyxiation suicides sadly suggests about 2-300 black people commit suicide by asphyxiation annually. But details matter and of total (all people) asph. suicides, only 10% are tree hanging and 5% are off-site (not home). That's ~1.5 occurrence per year not 6/week
