This is absurd. You know those things when starting a game? I never did.
Hard disagree, but if that’s how you make good games, kudos, you’re better than me at it. For me it seems we have a team and a crazy idea and we flail around trying to make it even happen at all until the very end. Or maybe we agree and I just start a new project every day

Haha I don't make games, I do work in IT though. None of the things I hear from games dev are making it any different so far... Your approach is very 'creative driven', and will bring excellent ideas, but might never lead to an end product. Let alone something on time/in budget

I’ve made a couple on time, but maybe none on budget. Most blew past both. Sometimes by a lot. To the original point, I made a couple without too bad a crunch, but my most successful had some horrible death slogs. It’s my fault, but would be impossible to plan out as suggested.
