A lot of gamers seem to think I’m like some dog, panting for their dollar, and that withholding it from me will teach me the error of my ways - but seriously, selling the game to somebody is almost an afterthought. I make stuff for me, and try to remember to leave the door open.

Sucks you're getting harassed. But some devs feel like snakes. Trying to sucker us in or make us feel bad for not giving them our money. As if every person needs to buy every game. (Especially indie)

So all devs are perfect and all gamers are scum?

Why do you see it as two different sides? Where all the anger is coming from? If some baker makes bread you don't like (or maybe doesn't sell them at your corner store), does that make them snakes? I buy tons of games. Some of them are bad. I never think the devs are bad people.

No anger, more upset. I'm just bad at getting my point across. I get that people say mean things (in this case it's a gamer toward a dev) but how can you say you NEVER think devs are bad?
