Did you check the sources yourself? Or are you just listening to the SJWs who want to change our very language to prevent us thinking heretical thoughts. Post-modernism isn't a political ideology, it is a religion. Reject or leave the faith and you are not wrong, you are evil!

Post-modernism isn’t a political ideology OR a religion lol Did you get that from JBP? Because he takes sort of an... ideosyncratic approach to defining terms

Then why must the postmodernist stifle all debate? Why not invite the Alt Right to the campus and destroy them in debate if your arguments are so powerful? How would you be treated if you openly rejected these views to any friends who currently share them? Try it and see.

Who are you talking about? Do the postmodernists own YouTube, or run colleges, or attend them? Or all three? I honestly don’t know who you’re referring to. I hear “Postmodernist,” I think Derrida, or maybe like, Thomas Pynchon, Charlie Kaufman, Hideo Kojima, y’know... writers

All good points! This is fun! No, but postmodernist beliefs are becoming more common. Most non-STEM subjects have a majority that either hold those views or agree with them because it is necessary for their career. As I said if you are not a member of the faith you are evil.

I’ve never seen people forced to hold postmodernist views, I think it’d be like that episode of South Park with the abusive agnostic family. I would guess you mean either a PC culture thing, or perhaps the idea that left-wing views are aggressively pushed by profs and depts?

I think the effects of both of those are usually exaggerated (and there are a LOT of right-wingers in academia, the closest thing to a lefty cabal is in the arts) But academia can socialize itself in pretty toxic or unhelpful ways, and a lot of professors SUCK, so it does happen

In what subjects are right wingers even a substantial minority? Can they express views without risking their careers?

They might have majorities in law, business, classics, economics (especially at some schools, where they dominate) I’ve seen substantial minorities in english, philosophy, engineering, history, CS The leftiest, in my experience, always seem to be math, sociology, and some arts

They can certainly express MOST of their views without risking their careers; the most recent study that wasn’t just confined to a single school or region had 44% conservative, 46% liberal or leftist staff. Aggressively conservative profs exist just as aggressively lefty ones do

(but that study was 12 years ago, just wanna keep everything up front here)
