More reasons to prefer TOTP via apps or more secure yubikeys/FIDO for 2FA than relying on the poop fest that is SMS for OTPs. I wish yubikeys were more affordable in India

Seems like network operators from some countries such as India are just removed from Twitter's two factor operations, without any notice. It means that people who have their 2FA on, cannot log in because they would never get an OTP via SMS.

The Bendix Central Air Data Computer (CADC) was introduced in 1955. This complex mechanical analog computer uses tiny gears, cams, and differentials to determine airspeed, altitude, etc for fighter planes. I hooked a synchro up to the CADC and got some output from it. 🧵
The CADC is a cylinder crammed full of tiny gears, differentials, cams, synchros, and other parts.
A closeup of gears and differentials.
The CADC on a workbench with a small synchro wired up to it.
