    Torturing an entire population to achieve regime change has never worked. Just look at Iran, North Korea, etc. Sanctions only achieve one thing: They generate hate against those who sanction and therefore empower the leaders of sanctioned countries.

    I never realised the European Parliament was a bunch of people each talking in their own language glued together by an army of translators, and this makes me feel moderately disgusted: if you don't speak english you can't get a junior dev role but apparently can be a politician.
