I disagree that childbearing vs. career is an "either or" issue. With kids #1 and #2
@mduanemd worked full-time. With kids #3 and #4 she was home more. Could have done the opposite or stayed full-time and I would have supported her choice. - Show replies

Best choice! unless you separate. The period of non contribution to super 2.5 years for me has huge $ impact. In a few months a spinal cord injury progressed & had cat1 surgery for rare malignant tumour. The drop in super benefits are huge, but fact. In future this has to change.
