Q: But how is that "taking back control"? What's the point? A: Well obviously it isn't really "taking back control". That doesn't start until after the transitional period. And the point is to give more time for EU-UK talks on trade, security, migration, scientific research etc.

Q: But I thought the Government had "got Brexit done"? A: Only on paper. Leaving was the easy bit. The more difficult negotiations haven't started yet. And there's no serious chance of them being done by 2021. So it's likely there'll be major changes at the end of transition.

Q: Why major changes, when leading Leavers said the EU would offer us an even better deal than before and it would be the easiest negotiation in history? A: I'm afraid that was a total delusion. Don't you see a pattern at work here...

The Brexiters don’t know this. They woke up on Saturday morning saying the sky hasn’t fallen in. Or, rather, the Mail says it for them. What is to be done with such ignorance?
-
If they only have the Mail for info, not sure what you can do, other than buy it from the current owners.

Why would anyone expect an immediate difference at 2am on 1st Feb? Yet an aquaintance posted along these lines, ie the world hasn't ended. Daft.
-
These people don't understand the difference between climate and weather, hence we can't expect them to understand the difference between "things will get worse over time" and "things will get worse IMMEDIATELY"
