        This is the only Palestinian university in Jerusalem. When we have field seasons at Solomon’s Pools we work with the wonderful masters students in archaeology at Al Quds, where they are training the next generation of Palestinian archaeologists to continue exploring their past.

        I’m at a loss for what to say. I’m going to keep trying to get in touch with folks, to make sure they’re okay, but colleagues especially - please don’t look away. I don’t care what you think the ideology *behind* these actions is - they are the actions of ethnic cleansing.

        This so tragic. In the 21st century and the world is allowing this barbarity to happen unchallenged. Have we forgotten how the Nazis burned books? Have the people of Israel forgotten about those times?
