Folks in the sports science community: once you’ve evaluated a new offering thoroughly then voicing concerns is a great thing. Let’s be constructive so that the future of the field benefits from experts giving honest feedback. Growth is healthy and beneficial for this field.

There are many concerns with 'the bubble', but I can attest from my work with the club the prior few years that Coach Gio is an incredible human with great empathy for others and passion for both soccer and life.

"...a cynic that reminds me that this will blow over in most minds and we will still be isolated in our fight for human and civil rights." nails this. Many enjoy a sense of comfort when things are 'normal'. Our fellow Black citizens don't share that privilege.

This is not some well scripted scene from a Netflix drama, this is a raw, real, heartbreaking reality. Stop and listen to every word, hear the story unfold and understand this a multi-generational struggle that continues to wage on. WE MUST DO BETTER FOR THEM AS FELLOW AMERICANS

From 2016 but as applicable today as people call for peaceful protest. How did moderates treat Kap when he peacefully protested? We’ve had so many chances as a society to listen and evolve but we keep having the same stagnant conversation bc we refuse to address the actual issue

German soccer: one month to prepare, full time athletes with no other commitments, huge team sp sci resources, strong economic incentives to keep training throughout. 8 muscle injuries in 6 games. NCAA: all of those factors are worse for 99% of schools. We've been warned.

Thank you for sharing a voice of reason, many I've connected with still use ACWR- but not for 'injury prediction'. With the return to sport in the coming weeks and ramp-ups in on-field training loads, the ACWR conversation will again return.
