Motorists on U.S. 1 in the Lower Keys should expect slow traffic through Big Pine Key this weekend due to the Annual Big Pine & Lower Keys Nautical Expo, 31020 Overseas Highway. The event is scheduled to run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Hats off to our marine resources colleagues at Monroe County who tallied their 2022 success: 93 derelict vessels removed, 115 navigational aids replaced and 32,000 pounds of Irma debris removed from shorelines. Well done.
