a better and more equal society will almost certainly mean that workers are under less pressure to cater to the needs of every last customer. it will mean that waiters will be less friendly b/c they wont need to do all the *emotional labor* (yes, the real kind) for tips, etc

I feel like this is disproportionate. Definitely was a mistake to report the driver (she didn’t seem to realize it would mean a firing, which is dumb) but I don’t think it’s “petty and vengeful” to be frustrated with a serious quality of life issue for disabled people.

like I’m not a fan of her politics but we probably shouldn’t equivocate this with trying to speak to the manager because you got the wrong kind of milk in your coffee or whatever.

Why can't we all just agree it's the fault of the dogshit app people The whole thing is a wind-up, it's something the service should account for AND ALSO not grounds to fucking fire someone Almost like some kinda system designed to pit disadvantaged people against one another?

Not being discriminated against isn’t “customer service”

Being treated like a human being is petty and vengeful? You aren't even aware how deep ableism is because you are targeting disabled folks and their advocates. The system is broken and you call the most vulnerable and marginalized petty and vengeful. Despicable.
