Moving to instant runoffs is the reform Georgia needs. Many states and cities are moving to RCV to improve the quality of campaigns and give voters a better voice without the cost and inconvenience of separate runoffs.
1. Expand ballot access so we have more than two options.
2. Retain 50% + 1 to win.
3. Institute Instant Runoff Voting.
This improves the slate of candidates, makes candidates compete for ALL VOTERS, decreases negative races, & makes the elected consider entire constituency.
The Georgia Public Service Commission is set to vote on the Georgia Power rate case on Dec. 20th. The utility is asking for approval to increase its rates by almost $3 billion over three years.

This should have been over by now. There has to be a better way.

From the start he talked about RCV. In TV debate he pushed it. When media coverage started because runoff looked likely, he spoke about it. All media interviews after election he spoke about it.
race and how successful it was. His goal was to push for ranked choice voting and he set his entire campaign towards that. Forcing a runoff was a tactic to force the conversation about RCV
Chase had a campaign goal and he was VERY focused and disciplined. He maximized every opportunity. Stayed on message. His campaign is an excellent example of setting a non-win goal and achieving it.

Each campaign decided that it would be more beneficial for their candidate to NOT be heard from on the issues prior to election day. What's that say about the candidates? #gapol
UPDATE: Senator Raphael Warnock - Herschel Walker Debate Cancelled
The Atlanta Press Club has cancelled Monday’s U.S. Senate runoff debate after neither candidate committed to debating. #gapol#gasen
Libertarian candidates across AL passed the 20% threshold in 16 counties. Yet, because they weren't county-wide races, State doesn't allow us to retain ballot access in those counties. Yet another suppression tactic to keep minor parties down.

The 3% petition requirement is high, but the 20% of the vote requirement for ballot access is crazy! The democrats don’t get 20% in some red districts and visa versa. This is a move by incumbents to reduce the value of your vote and limit your choices.

And water is wet.
GaPow touts its green energy goals and use of solar…they just want to be the ones to control it.
Georgians deserve a choice in electricity providers.
Someone please…explain it to me like I’m five.
How does a customer adding electrons to the system cost another customer money?
Is GaPow saying lost revenue is actually an expense, since they have a guaranteed profit scheme set up by the GAPSC?
It would have been awesome to have had @AngelaFor14 on the ballot too. Alas, the state required ~23k signatures just to be allowed to run.
Rs and Ds are determined to keep us out of districted races. That’s why we run statewide candidates.

A reminder that the national angst of a Georgia Senate runoff, to say nothing of the expense, could be largely spared were Georgia to adopt the “instant-runoff” form of ranked choice voting (RCV).
