Lots of people will obviously say Trump's numbers with Mormon voters should be much worse, given... you know, everything. But to me, the 20ish-point swing away from the Republican presidential nominee is much more notable.

The church has to make a public statement at some point. This is like African Americans in the church all over again by being active fence sitters. It’s appalling frankly.

LDS, unlike white evangelicals, are mostly staying true to their beliefs and moral standards instead of compromising them. LDS history would also make people naturally skeptical of Trump’s xenophobic rhetoric.
