    Absolutely unreal that Australia’s Tories votes for this far right garbage.

    Right now in the Senate - the Liberals & Nationals are voting to support Pauline Hanson’s motion about “anti-white” racism. Voting underway.

    Things people still say: The far right are so small. They have no influence. They’re not in government. Why worry.

    The Australian Senate just voted on the motion "that it is ok to be white" moved by Pauline Hanson. The motion was defeated 31-28.

    It’s more than a little jarring and shameful to realize the pope is canonizing a man who was martyred as a direct result of the US deeming the notion that we should put the needs of the poor above the bottom lines of the wealthy as dangerously radical. And did so in our names

    Happy to be corrected if I’ve missed it but I don’t think Shaun Bailey has yet said he regrets holding and expressing the views he has about Muslims, Hindus, same-sex parents... haven’t yet seen an apology either.

    Shaun Bailey has lots of really gross views.

    He told me women were ‘too quick’ to leave abusive relationships and it was more important for families to stay together, because children need fathers. I asked if that meant he thought only heterosexual couples should have children, he said yes
