    Today I lost a treasured Uncle. Cried my eyes out in front of the kids this morning when I got the call. I want them to grow up in an environment where it’s safe to express how they’re feeling.

    Could have timed it better than concluding the course on the 10th anniversary of my lovely mum’s passing, so I’m pretty drained...but I’m so pleased I’ve done it. There’s a lot of work to be done in addressing the associated stigma and would encourage anyone to get involved.

    Pleased to say I’ve just finished a two-day Mental Health First Aider course I’ve been wanting to do for years with . it’s been really informative, with the biggest realisation of just how many people affected can live happy, fulfilled lives with the right help.

    Braved the cinema with all three kids tonight to see - they loved it. Put on in the car on the way back. “This is the Lion singing in real life,” I said. “He’s pretty good!” The two youngest replied in unison...😀
