I know that promoting race science is this guy's particular jam, but this redefining of principles (whether scholarly or moral) as intellectual cowardice goes beyond this one issue.

And not surprisingly it fits both philosophically and in practical terms with an utter willingness to make things up. See his buddies' thoughts on early modern and modern history, for instance, to say nothing of the cartoon rendering of academia that is their bread and butter.

This is no kind of model for critical thinking, much less for actual scholarship. It's a great way to flood any given medium or platform with trash, though. Suspend judgment and every claim is just an opinion. Turn off the lights and every book looks pretty much the same.
