What shocked me is that people haven’t ever seemed to pay attention to the directives that have been there for years. You can take a horse to water but you can’t make them drink I suppose. Sometimes safety is boring but it’s necessary and important.

I’m a nurse so my ears are usually perked to that sort of thing naturally. It was just jarring to see the mass mistakes there. Do we look at the message or how the message is received. I hope we see change brewing.
but surely you understand that someone trained as a nurse will have a different reaction in that sort of emergency than a civilian would. I'm not sure how you can change human nature, but you can probably change the masks so they're less likely to be used wrong.

I absolutely do. I’m thankful that manysafety professionals noted and have said exactly what I have,that the error is alarming. Safety and risk assessors need to figure out a new way to promote the message.The masks may need a change too.
