I live in a magical nexus of two veggie-centric bodegas and three (3!!) grocery stores all within about four blocks, so we tend to do day-to-day shopping for most meals anyway. It is a crazy luxury.
Oh goodness yes those people should buy bags of avocados. I'm extremely lucky to have so much fresh produce at my fingertips. (Often I come back the next day and it's the same avocados, just ripened there instead of my counter.)
