it sounds like you've been on crappy teams that didn't really know how to use it for its strengths. File sharing? that's for email. Story planning, workflow are way easier, as is team-building when you're not all in the same place. Don't discount the power of a well-used emoji.

annnnnyway, yes it works well for my team and my situation. As in all things, email, gchat, whatever, the key is that transparency is better for communication over secrecy, and that it's just another tool that fits together with all the tools.

honestly it's just that i like to use emoji and email makes that harder.
