You have two choices: spend a ton of time and energy swatting down bad information in real time (it's never Sam Hyde), or ignore it in the immediate aftermath and see what fake shit takes hold and grapple with it then. But you still have to devote energy and time to watching it.

And because not everyone twitters at the same learning rate -- it's a conveyer belt of folks using heavily or just finding their feet -- there's always a steady supply of people to be the one retweeting the noise. Facebook got rid of the noise, sure, but also all the information
