I'd agree. Distinct cultural approaches that start from completely different places. Learning both is to acknowledge you're going to constantly slip into the cognitive crevasse between how one side frames the world vs the other.

I know I, for one, fit much better on the journalist side. My brief stint as a tech writer in a tech company was... challenging.
