I guess I don't see multiple, lengthy pieces starting on day 2 of the strike and continuing nearly daily since as declining to "hype" a story.

You also don't, as a corporate entity, write about much that threatens the fortunes of the ownership. Will people read about a teachers strike? Probably. Will it help ownership make more money if you just do Trump Russia 24/7? Sure thing!
