Anyway if you find yourself wondering "why isn't the media covering this?" a good thing to do is get off twitter and go take a spin on a news site or google news. ("Get off twitter" is my advice in all situations, actually.)

My mentions are taking on a flavor of "Corporate media [that is often unionized] hates unions and that's why they're not covering the strike [that it is actually covering]!" So, uh, I'm taking my own advice and getting off Twitter for a while. Masterchef Junior is back!

This is a perfectly valid question to ask. “The News” is not an out of control organism. You are the news. If Washington is dominating the news, perhaps the priorities of newspapers ought to be called into question.
