In the best case scenario your kids are bored and your fellow patrons are mildly annoyed. Just drink in your living room with friends instead and let the oldest kid manage the entire population of Kid Town in the back of the house. Guaranteed fun/no one mad at you.
I mean, I get it, it's New York, no one has space, but part of the contract here is not going out of your way to ruin other people's afternoons.

My optimism for my gender died when I got added to a Park Slope dads email group and was inundated with endless emails about meeting at bars with kids, meeting at bars without kids (how is that a Dads meetup?!) and never anything actually kid related.
