Oh my god, I thought Buzzfeed was using a real controversy in the UK to illustrate this point! It wasn’t until I noticed the tweets were dated March 2018 that I realized that none of it — the store, the tweets, the controversy — was real!

I didn’t recognize the controversy or any of the cultural references (what is Pricehound? Who is Damian Actor?) but I assumed that was just because it was in the UK!
