On the one hand, I agree and they annoy me. On the other hand, official tropical storm names are just as made up, only by a gov't agency.
Uh yeah, exactly. Are you equating a government agency with a for profit tv channel ?
In this one case, yes. They're all just people. It's all just arbitrary. Storms have no names of their own. It's just labels we slap on 'em.
and when it comes to things that can kill people if not taken seriously, i'm erring on the side of listening to the experts.
