I think I had assumed that GoogleTrends was just squatting on a popular brand's name a la UberFacts.
It's verified! To actual google!
This map is also including kids using the internet to do their homework. These results don't necessarily even have much to do with adults.
You could argue kids in red and purple states have better access to the internet or are more academically inclined or do more self study.
