We recreated Pickett's Charge by running up a slope behind my elementary school with paper bayonets.

No one wanted to be dead, though, so we had a very inauthentically low casualty rate.

My 11th grade history teacher had us recreate Pickett's Charge with twigs and sticks at Gettysburg. The trip was the highlight of the class.
