I was living in a big house then and we all used to watch X-Files. 1-2 episodes into S8, I said F this… & watched The Sopranos

S8 seemed surprisingly good on this rewatch, so I went around telling everyone 'oh hey the dogget stuff isn't so bad!' But oooof S9.

I really do think premium cable dramas took everybody by surprise and a lot of shows never really recovered
