This is why we have libraries and porous pay models. It's your patriotic duty to be informed, any way you can, not to *pay* to be informed.

It's often the case that libraries are compelled to record computer and internet access and act as informants against patrons.

I disagree. If I go to local libraries and use their computers then it is the case that all usage is logged and stored.
