Culturally, I am firmly Gen X because I had a nerdy older brother who got us on the computer train early. But Pew says I'm a millennial.
I played Zork and I can recognize the Logo turtle, learned to type on a computer but wrote papers on a typewriter. People aren't categories!

My parents bought a typewriter in 2000-2001 so I could type my college applications on it. You couldn't apply online most places

I applied in 99, and yeah, definitely had to mail them off with a stamp and wait months.
