For most of my life, Pennsylvania would only allow you to buy a keg or a case of beer, under the belief that it cut down on alcohol abuse.
And you could only buy wine if it was pre-selected by one of the state's wine buyers.

I haven't lived there in over a decade and i still get a thrill purchasing alcohol on a Sunday.

appearantly Groundhog Day gets special holiday hours now, too. (Allows earlier--7 AM--sales if it falls on a Sunday. )
