I feel like those who promote dozens working in one big room have simply never felt the joy of having your own office with a door.
a lot of these places have offices with doors! They're like little office farms.

sounds like my office. It's a mix, but most people are in 'pods' and cubes. Only the management gets privacy if they want it.
