Heh. I remember when greater LA smog alerts were more serious and numerous than traffic alerts. :)
all news really is local! I like to think they just figured out geo targetting.

In early twitter era there was a feature (long since revoked) called “track“. You could get tweets w keyword pushed 2 u by txt 1/2
