All my Brooklyn barber shop has is a Russian barber that doesn't speak English, so I don't have to make small talk.
that actually sounds fantastic. I change my hair salons every year or so to avoid running out of small talk.

Haircuts used to really make my social anxiety kick in because I am no good at making small talk. This is a perfect solution.

miss manners would just advise you to say "you know what I'm not really into small talk" but that seems so rude.
