I feel like this is a potentially bigger issue than the background-check process, at least for this story.

@mattdpearce true. I think i'm just super ultra wary placing this weight on Uber rather than, say, gun access or the actual shooter himself

@mccanner I mean, I'm definitely not putting Uber on trial for gun access or murder here.

@mccanner it just seems like this says their system is better set up for catching bad drivers in the long run rather than on REALLY bad days
