they'd rather blame metro (which does, indeed, suck in many ways) than admit to themselves they just don't like mass transit.
@mccanner yeah, though as someone who LOVES mass transit (never owned a car!), DC makes it hard to love mass transit sometimes

@atsneed i dunno, this lady spends her whole train ride fearing a bomb. she seems unwilling to give it a shot even on a good day.
@mccanner (self-entitled, time is too valuable to wait on transit, transit costs ~ same as driving for some, control freaks, etc)
@mccanner doesn't help that the culture of DC consists of a lot of personalities that are more likely to prefer driving for many reasons.
