I've never had a news job that didn't expect this. Maybe not "work" but available. No matter what. I'm an editor though, so responsible for a lot of other people.

i'm an editor too, but i think it's important to triage and recognize what's truly urgent, and what can wait until after you've had some coffee.

Boundary setting is *so important* when you work from home, and I feel like editors working from home are pushing harder against them. I now don't answer any work emails after I take Annie on her dinnertime walk (4pm-ish). It's freeing.
