I'm always fascinated with the hoops people jump through to dip their toes in vegetarianism, with talk of weaning or "trying to avoid," etc. You know how I became a vegetarian? I stopped eating meat. Just one day I ate meat, and then next day I didn't. That's the process.
I'm not a vegetarian, but my boyfriend is, and he does most of our cooking. So one process: quarantine with a vegetarian. I'll still eat it maybe 2x a month. It's a lot easier to avoid when your days are filled with tasty alternatives, which is where a lot of folks get stumped

also for YEARS I'd crave, like, a hamburger every five or six months. I'd make a thing of it on a night he was otherwise busy, go to a bar, take my book, order a burger loaded with blue cheese. What cured me of that was just having a really truly awful undercooked burger. Done.

My wife's last day with meat involved packing raw pork chops up to freeze them. She finished wrapping them up and was like "Welp, ok, I'm done! Not sure what we'll do with those!"

Yeah, quarantine is funny that way. I've been gluten-free since things shut down for the same reason (we don't have gluten in our house because my son has Celiac). That's fine for the most part, other than worrying a little about our daughter's gluten tolerance when life resumes.
