A fun pattern i've fallen into is needing to be in the kitchen for meeting calls, because that's where the good light is, but also only being able to be away from a charger for about 45 minutes, because my laptop is old.

You need one of those huge and long extension cords - the ones that are bright orange and used for things like electric lawn mowers. You can probably get anywhere in your apartment and the bright orange is a safety feature.
