If your Acela nonstop story doesn’t also explain that it was an extremely limited and expensive service that only launched six months ago and does not currently affect the trains most people in the east coast corridor take you are doing it wrong

Thank you! I read that last night to my husband and then realized it wasn’t all Acela just some new limited service. We frequently use NE Corridor trains and didn’t know this service existed.

I read that article just now on the (very full) @Amtrakfrom DC to Stamford, CT. I take the Northeast corridor trains - both regional & Acela, ALL the time. I didn't even know there was a non-stop from NY to DC. Yesterday someone told me the trains are all empty- that's not true!

I have an Amtrak ride on the Keystone scheduled for this week and my husband showed me this article. I laughed. I said my company won’t pay for Acela anyway.

Some are skipping over the fact that Acela is the expensive train. Nonstop, sure that sounds nice but for many...it’s not affordable nor practical since many people get on Amtrak between DC and NYC.
