"Ugh the make-your-own-Kombucha class at the local bookstore seems super fun but $65 is just too much" is a thing I just said, apparently realizing that there is a price I'd be willing to pay for a make-your-own-Kombucha class at the local bookstore, and that it's less than $65.

I see a lot of 'fun' things that get me excited then go "ugh, no, that's too much for THAT."

I have pretty well internalized "Time is money." but with emphasis that my time is very valuable to me. My calculus is "how much of the time I suffered through tedium am I willing to trade for this fun thing that I'll likely lose interest in not long after getting it."
