At the end of 2019, someone should really make a full calendar of the ephemeral phrases that consumed Twitter each day: — Greenland — Chicken sandwiches — Feral hogs Would be depressing.
If it helps, those words don't actually consume twitter on any given day. Just the small subset of people on twitter we exist in. Much of the world often has an entirely different experience! (Except hog day. That hit everyone.)

The trick is to follow more animal accounts. You're still following the crap media twitter throws at you, but this way you have puppies and kittens and goats to remind you of the rest of the world! Personally I'm a big fan of alpacas.
