We are literally the only two people in this bar. Everyone else, including the bartender, has gone outside to the garden, and we're here alone with Velvet Underground playing. And, I mean, yes this is the simulation I would draw for my own afterlife.
I just had to Shazam Stevie Nicks, so now I'm afraid I'm going to get sent to The Bad Place.
Shazam found the song unreasonably fast as if to say, "lady are you seriously not sure who this is oh my gawd."
Anyway side note: one of my very best New Years Eves in this hell city was 2014 when the band I went to see at Brooklyn Bowl did their whole set and then at midnight brought out Stevie to sing, blessing us all. Not coincidentally that following year I got hired at the Times.
I'm not saying Stevie made it happen but I'm not not saying that.
